In Heb. 13: 3, the Word of God says, “Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.”
This picture reminds us of the attack of Islamists on Dogo Nahawa village, Jos in 2010. During the night, 501 Christians living in the village were slaughtered. Till today, no one has been prosecuted for the massacre.
The attacks on Christians in Nigeria have since then intensified and today, Nigeria is considered internationally as the most dangerous nation on earth for anyone to be a Christian. Today, the 1st global terrorist organization (Boko Haram), and the 4th (Fulani Herdsmen) operate in Nigeria. As of 2015, a 158 page research report by Arne Mulder confirms that over 13,000 Churches have been attacked, destroyed, and abandoned in northern Nigeria.
1 Cor. 12: 26 (NET) – “If one member suffers, everyone suffers with it …"
The suffering of the persecuted Christians in Nigeria is the suffering of every Nigerian Christian, whether at home or abroad.
Therefore, Christians in Nigeria must take proactive steps to put an end to these mindless acts of destruction and ensure that peace, justice; equality and fairness prevail in the nation. This is why the Christian Association of Nigeria is calling every Nigerian Christian to contribute N500 monthly to fund the umbrella body of the Body of Christ in Nigeria to effectively fulfill its obligations. These obligations include promoting and protecting Christianity as well as take care of our brethren who have become victims of religious insurgency.
As a member of the Body of Christ, your contribution is important. We are in this together. You can pay MONTHLY into any of the accounts below. Or, if you choose, you can give as God enables you to do.
